Oaklawn
Academy's academic year is divided into five units
of six or seven weeks each. Parents receive a
record of their child's grades at the end of each
unit.
Evening study halls are held in a classroom supervised
by academy staff. Teachers are available during recess to provide
extra help should the need arise, and in the evening for special tutoring
or guided study halls.
Oaklawn Academy prides itself on
its highly qualified faculty who work
with small classes of students (14 to 20 students per class), allowing
teachers to know each one of their students on a personal level and to be
able to help them in their specific needs and difficulties.
Oaklawn
Academy students study the English language as well as world history,
speech, Spanish, science, physical education, mathematics, horsemanship,
computer science, and civics. A brass ensemble
and a choir enhance the academic program.
